Elm Lodge Care Home

Furncare Teams Up with Bright Bay Design to Furnish Stunning New Care Home in Hampshire

Working alongside Bright Bay Design, we furnished the newly launched Forest Care Elm Lodge with furniture designed specifically for later living environments. Together, we helped create a contemporary, welcoming care home that balances comfort, durability and thoughtful design.

Combining our expertise in care home furniture with Bright Bay Design’s innovative approach to interior aesthetics has resulted in an elegant, welcoming environment designed to enhance residents’ quality of life in the care home.

Location

Elm Lodge is a state-of-the-art, 60-bed luxury residential care home nestled in three acres of beautiful grounds in the picturesque Hampshire countryside. As part of the Forest Care group, it offers residents over 43 years of dedicated care experience and five-star hospitality, all guided by residents' preferences. This brand-new, eco-friendly facility creates a genuinely welcoming place to live. From the cosy lounge areas to the stylish yet practical restaurant and café bar, every detail has been designed with care.

“Bright Bay Design’s involvement across the full project process, from initial building design through to final fit-out, enabled us to create a care home that stands out in so many ways, and we were delighted to include Furncare’s specialist furniture which, with their excellent service, helped us realise our and Forest Care’s vision for Elm Lodge.”

Custom Interiors

Bright Bay Design expertly balanced the high-quality design aesthetic with robust interiors which meet the complex demands of a care home, creating a stylish, comfortable and tranquil atmosphere conducive to both relaxation and functionality.

By integrating durable materials with a cohesive and contemporary scheme, the result is care home furniture that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. Fabrics are selected for heavy contract use, furniture is engineered for strength and stability, and circulation spaces are planned to support both residents and care teams. These practical decisions sit alongside a confident, contemporary design approach, ensuring the home feels considered and well executed.

The result is a care home interior that works as hard as the people in it - robust, compliant and designed specifically for the realities of later living.

Durability and Sustainability

Furncare’s commitment to sustainability underpins every stage of the project. Responsibly sourced materials and carefully selected finishes ensure Elm Lodge’s interiors are environmentally conscious while meeting the rigorous demands of a care home setting.

Built to withstand daily use, the furniture and fittings are designed for long-term performance in later living environments. This focus on quality and responsible procurement ensures the interiors remain both visually impressive and operationally effective for years to come, reducing the need for replacement and ongoing material waste and supporting operational efficiency - also lowering the environmental impact of the project.

By combining robust specification with considered procurement, the result is a care home interior that performs consistently, supports sustainable principles and is built to last.
